Meet Our Team

Kyle Mendes, DPT Kyle Mendes, DPTClinic DirectorLeading patient care at ATI Kent – SE Kent Kagley Rd is Kyle Mendes. Kyle is a native of Hawaii who moved to Washington to finish his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Washington State University in 2009. He loved Washington so much he went to the University of Washington to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. He has special interests in sports therapy, temporomandibular disorders, and working with patients burdened by chronic pain. Kyle believes in a comprehensive approach involving manual therapy, corrective exercises, adjunct techniques and personal goal setting to allow patients to reach their full function. He is currently pursuing his Fellowship of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, a specialization highly regarded in the profession for manual therapy skills. He also takes continuing education courses regarding various topics based on what’s new and exciting in the research of our field. Kyle’s additional physical therapy services include Post-op Rehab, TMJ Rehab, Return to Sport Testing and Injury Screenings. When not in the clinic, Kyle is usually pursuing one of his many hobbies: woodworking, gardening, home brewing, hiking, hunting, trying to fish, and cooking. Kyle also has his hands full spending time with his wife, their pug, and their four chickens.
Alexandra Zigmont, PT, DPT Alexandra Zigmont, PT, DPTPhysical TherapistAlex earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northeastern University in 2017. She is currently a part of the ATI Orthopedic Residency Program, while also pursuing a specialty certification in orthopedics through the American Physical Therapy Association. Her professional interests include pain neuroscience and patient education. Alex strongly believes in the importance of an individualized approach to patients’ plans of care, helping them return to doing what they love. When not in the clinic, Alex spends her time hiking, listening to music, connecting with friends, and exploring her new home on the west coast.
Wendy Whalen, PTA Wendy Whalen, PTAPTAAfter working as an Emergency Medical Technician for nearly a decade, Wendy realized she wanted to have a more lasting impact on patients’ lives and began her transition into Physical Therapy. She received her Physical Therapist Assistant license in 2016 after graduating from Elgin Community College. Wendy has a passion for helping patients achieve their optimum levels of function. She looks forward to continuing to advance her knowledge throughout her career. Her hobbies include archery, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and photography.
